Client Focus: Individual, Children, Families & Trauma (EMDR)
Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being. As a Christian Cognitive Behavioral therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
I have been working with families and children for over 20 years. In addition to being a marriage and family therapist I am also a play therapist. I specialize in helping children with a variety of symptoms such as separation anxiety, depression, anger outburst, social anxiety, performance anxiety, peer issues, addiction issues, self esteem related issues and unresolved traumas. I assist parents to help their children to work towards a mutual and positive outcome that will bring more peace to the child and the family's life. I consider myself to be a directive therapist where I will provide you with things to be doing outside of the sessions that carry the impact of our sessions into your daily lives to assist in helping your child and family achieve healing and healthier relationships through understanding and compassion.
"Buddy" is my wonderful therapy dog that can be brought to any therapy session upon request.
I see clients at the Afton, Minnesota and St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin locations.
