Client Focus:  Individual, Children, Couples & Families

I believe in a more holistic eclectic counseling approach
(a multitude of theories that allow flexibility and freedom to match
treatments to the needs of the individual) to help promote a healthier lifestyle for you and your family.  The therapeutic relationship is built with trust, compassion and understanding as I journey along side of you to explore a different path. I am a Christian who relies on the guidance, healing and the strong foundation of Jesus Christ. It is your choice to integrate biblical truths, prayer and/or a Christian perspective to your counseling sessions, but the counseling experience also opens the door to God’s grace.

I enjoy providing adults and children the opportunity to embrace growth as they discover new skills and thinking patterns to bring change to their difficult situations including coping with depression, stress, grief, loss and anxiety. I often use play therapy with children and sand tray therapy with individuals that have a more difficult time expressing their emotions and experiences with words.

I specialize in helping couples build hope and increase their willpower to find ways to improve their communication and gain effective skills to resolve conflict and improve their loving relationship. The Christian counselors at The House of Hope value and honor the importance of marriage and what marriage represents to God. We also understand that in some circumstances a marriage will end in divorce. If you are going through a divorce I will walk with you to provide support as you heal and transition for that loss, receive God’s grace and hope to move forward with a new beginning.

I also specialize in men and women who are experiencing or engaging in abusive behaviors – see Domestic Violence tab.

I received my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Liberty University. I am currently under the supervision of Karen Heyer, LMFT.

I see clients at the Osceola, Wisconsin location.
