No one’s life is free of struggle. At times we all face challenges and hurts that can be overwhelming and difficult to work through on our own. At such times we can benefit from having some additional support. I would consider it an honor to be entrusted with your story and walk alongside you on your journey toward healing.
I believe that effective therapy depends greatly on the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create an atmosphere of warmth, compassion, genuineness, and respect. My desire is to create a space where you feel safe to share your story free from judgment. I believe that we are all experts of our own lives but a different perspective can sometimes open our eyes to areas needing growth.
I have an eclectic therapeutic style and use a variety of approaches in my work including: cognitive-behavioral therapy, psycho-education, biblical counseling, narrative therapy, and person or client-centered. Furthermore, I take a holistic approach to therapy integrating the entire person - mind, body, and spirit. I also utilize play therapy in my work with children.
My Christian faith has helped me through many challenges and dark times, and I believe strongly in the healing power of God. The trials that I have been through have given me an especially caring heart toward others in pain. I will incorporate spirituality as much or as little as you wish.
I received my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Liberty University. I am also a trained PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator.
I work with teens, individuals, couples, and families at the St. Croix Falls Wisconsin location.
